Learning Objectives

By the end of this activity learners will be able to:

  9. Provide appropriate prognostic counseling to individuals with isolated RBD.
  10. Explain when to consider referring patients with OSA for surgical consultation
  11. Determine what type of surgical consultation to consider in patients with OSA
  12. Interpret the quality and strength of evidence supporting surgical consultation for OSA treatment
  13. Describe recent updates in the non-pharmacologic treatment of adults with chronic insomnia disorder.
  14. Examine the quality and strength of the evidence supporting behavioral therapies in the management of chronic insomnia.
  15. Demonstrate the ability to recognize potential adverse effects of common interventions used for the treatment of chronic insomnia.
  16. Evaluate potential areas where additional research is needed to inform future care of individuals with insomnia disorder.
